ALLISON MORAN, former Chief Executive Officer of RaceTrac, received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Denison University in 1990. She is a Kellogg Scholar at the Kellogg School of Business Management at Northwestern University. Mrs. Moran joined her family’s 80+ year-old business, RaceTrac Petroleum, Inc., in 1994, working in the Operations Department. She was promoted to Vice President of Human Resources in 1999, and then Senior Vice President in 2005 leading the RaceTrac division. In January 2013, Allison assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer, succeeding her father, Carl Bolch, Jr., until August of 2017 when she stepped aside as CEO but remains a member of the Board of Directors. Under her leadership, RaceTrac was recognized as the inaugural Innovative Retail Leader of the Year in 2013 and Retail Chain of the Year in 2014. In 2014, Allison was recognized as a Top Woman in Convenience and Shelby Reports Woman Executive of the Year in 2016. As her career at RaceTrac came to a close in 2017, she was selected as the Retail Executive of the Year by Convenience Store News and inducted into the Convenience Hall of Fame. In addition, Allison received the Graduate School Alumni of Distinction Award from the University of Georgia in 2018. Allison serves on the Board of Directors for Herschend Enterprises and is a Trustee of Rhodes College. She is an active member of Young President’s Organization (YPO). She continues to serve the convenience industry as Honorary Chairman of the Advisory Council for the Top Women of Convenience Awards Program. Allison has served on the Board of Trustees for Trinity School, The Westminster Schools, the Foundation Board of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and NACS (National Association of Convenience Stores). She and her husband, Crawford, are blessed with two wonderful daughters; Jorie, a student at Rhodes College graduating in May 2019, and Margaret, who attends Wake Forest University.
