Doug Baumoel is the Founder of Continuity Family Business Consulting. He has applied more than 25 years of business experience to developing a process for analyzing key variables of conflict in family enterprise. He co-authored, with Continuity Managing Partner Blair Trippe, Deconstructing Conflict: Understanding Family Business, Shared Wealth and Power. Doug has presented at the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School, Cornell University’s Smith Family Business Initiative, National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), the Family Firm Institute, American Bar Association, Attorneys for Family-Held Enterprises, and the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals (IACP), among others. Doug earned an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University. He has been awarded Fellow status with Family Firm Institute (FFI), the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) and is a Practitioner Scholar for Cornell Smith Family Business Initiative. He holds a certificate in Civil Mediation from Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education and is a graduate of the Director Professionalism program of NACD. Doug also served as President of the New England chapter of the Family Firm Institute.
